and they wonder why new yorkers are so stressed out

another day another terror threat. don't get scared, because that's what terrorists like. but just take this as a reminder that time waits for no man and tomorrows not promised so if shes still alive shoot a call to your momma. ok that last part was a murs quote, but you get the point.

paz y amor good homies...

damn, it's been over a week since i blogged...

but figured this was as good a reason as any to get write. so the roots got into a bus accident in paris. bus actually did a complete flip and dudes just got a couple of bumps and bruises. good deal. but waaaay more important than that - the roots will be the house band for "late night with jimmy fallon" when fallon takes over for conan (who is taking over for leno) next year. seriously, this is the most awesome news i've heard all week. i still won't stay up consistently to watch this show, but it will definitely be dvr'd regularly just in case. two thumbs up nbc!

my kind of candidate

with the pressure of the nation on his shoulders this afternoon, barack obama took a step back - and drained the three. that's right. obama took some time out to clear his head with a game of basketball on chicago's west side with a group of friends. i love this man.

and if you don't like that, you don't like nba basketball!

so technically obama is behind...

...kentucky's 8 electoral votes to vermont's 3. but no worries, if you've seen glory road you knew obama wasn't taking kentucky.

where o where has our little bush gone?

i'm humored by the fact that dubya hasn't made any public appearances in 5 days, even cancelling a scheduled white house briefing. sounds like mccain is trying to get as far away from bush's shadow as possible. don't blame him, but it is amusing to see exactly how far the republicans have fallen.

don't let this be you

breaking news

your vote counts. make it happen

just a reminder...

...of why you don't want to vote mccain-palin

palin prank story
palin prank audio

darn "gotcha media"!

so karl rove predicts obama in a landslide

should i be happy about this? or very, very scared?

i'm not sure.

btw, excuse me in advance for my very short, random posts today. i am entirely too excited and anxious to focus my energy on one entry, lol.

this was supposed to be published about 2 hours ago but blogger erased it, thanks

just got in from voting. stood in line for about an hour. and loved every second of it. no complaining. no grumbling. all smiles. very proud of my parkchester neighbors.

also proud of dixville notch and hart's location, two small new hampshire towns who kicked off Election Day 2008 at midnight. these tiny towns have given obama an early lead in the popular vote, combining for a 32-16 vote in obama's favor. this is particularly impressive, given a strong history of republican support from the two towns.

now its your turn. vote. si se puede! yes we can!

world series rainout

yup, you read that correctly. world series. it's going on right now. seriously. no, the yankees aren't playing. no, neither is boston. yes, they do still have a world series if the yankees or red sox aren't playing. who's playing? the philadelphia phillies and the tampa bay rays. yes, i know that's not a very imaginative name. it's philadelphia, give 'em a break. not exactly the cradle of intellectual civilization. no, the tampa bay franchise didn't fold years ago. yes, they used to be known as the devil rays. they had to change the name, because it actually made the team sound tough and until this year, well they weren't. ok. no more questions. i'm trying to blog here.

ok. so last night game 5 of major league baseball's world series was suspended due to rain. it was the first time in the history of the world series that any game was...what? yes. they are going to continue the game from where it left off when weather conditions permit. why? well some people are actually following the series. yes, i really believe that. stop laughing. y'know what? i don't need this shit. blog over. ingrates.

the material boy?

so madonna has been in the news alot lately. she's dating new york yankees 3rd baseman, alex rodriguez. getting a divorce from guy ritchie. giving what i hear are great performances on her tour. even speaking out against the evils of sarah palin. but have you heard the new rumors about her twin brother who's been hidden for all these years? it was hard to believe at first, but the evidence is undeniable. see for yourself.
