i do believe i'm beginning to develop a man crush on lebron james

when asked tuesday if lebron's the only player who can stop lebron, he responded humbly.

at first.

"uhhh, i don't want to say that," he answered, before pausing and searching for an explanation that just wasn't there.

then, realizing that the politically correct answer might just sound absurd, he said, "yeah, i will say that."

-as written by espn's chris broussard (well he used capital letters where correct grammar dictated. but cool people don't adhere to such silly rules.)

pun intended

espn breaking news

always amusing when a guy named blount gets arrested for marijuana possession. my favorite part is the judge's response to corie blount's claim that 29lbs. of pot was for personal use - "Cheech and Chong would have had a hard time smoking that much." judge craig hedric, you are a funny man.

i dont even care...

...if he finished this or not (and it's highly unlikely that he didn't), dwight howard is a fucking beast. and excuse me for cursing, but there is quite literally no way to accurately describe this man without the use of an expletive.

zach randolph is listed as a solid 6'9, 260 lbs (but any nba fan knows he's a little heavier than that. y'know, like the titanic was a "little" accident. or sara palin is a "little" dumb.)and howard is acting like he's not even there. sick. seriously.

welcome to new york city

spotted new knick cuttino mobley on my way to the train last night. he had just finished shopping at saks with his mom and female companion and was hailing a cab up to bloomingdales. way to stimulate the ny economy cat. no security, no entourage, just a normal guy out spending thousands of dollars. so i welcomed him to new york as he was getting into the cab and went about my merry way. seems like a nice guy, i hope that heart issue they are talking about isn't anything serious. go knicks.

new york knickerbockers

the new york knicks have bartered their best players along with any chance to win in exchange for $28 million in cap space, make two blockbuster trade. gone are jamal crawford and zach "z-bo" randolph, soon to be replaced by al harrington, tim thomas, and cuttino mobley. mixed reviews, but i'm all onboard the orange and blue train and the kool-aid is oh so good!

my kind of candidate

with the pressure of the nation on his shoulders this afternoon, barack obama took a step back - and drained the three. that's right. obama took some time out to clear his head with a game of basketball on chicago's west side with a group of friends. i love this man.

and if you don't like that, you don't like nba basketball!

the knicks are over .500!

yes indeed. the knicks started off the 2008-2009 with an impressive win over the dwyane wade-led miami heat. though i'm tight my man starbury was benched for the entire game, can't be mad at the win.

btw, two-guards in the nba - jamal crawford is a problem. eat your wheaties and strap up your high-tops before playing the knicks this season.

hooperstown usa

for all those court-starved basketball junkies in new york looking for a place to get your jones on, check out this little spot in mount vernon. rented the court out for 2 hours for a small fee of $230. not bad at all if you're splitting between 10-15 guys.

just got back in from some good run wit the fellas. i tell you, male bonding is key to a happy life. shout outs to 501, fyf, friday morning crew, and the goon squad.

of all people...

so i've been meaning to write this entry for a almost two weeks now, but being a BuzyGuy i'm just getting to it now.

so perhaps you've heard, though i won't be surprised if you haven't, la lakers backup forward luke walton recently called police to report a stalker that had been brazenly following him for about a year. yea stalking is wack. and yea having someone sharpie your car, throw a basketball at it, stake out your house, and make "finger-gun" motions at you from your front lawn is not cool. this chick, Stacy Beshear, even went so far as to share that "the people in the universe" were preventing her from moving because they wanted her and cool hand luke to get married. she's straight certifiable.

but you know how i know homegirl is crazy? she stalked luke fuckin walton! in a state crawling with celebrities and luminary sports figures, this lunatic chose luke walton. shit, on the lakers alone there are 3 or 4 other guys i'd think about stalking before i'd get to his pasty ass. kobe, pau, fish, odom - maaaybe i'd consider going gay for those guys. but luke walton? really? c'mon, he's this guy's son -

maybe i'm not giving the old boy luke the benefit of the doubt. i guess some girls do find him attractive. and he is an nba star. wait, no.. he is an nba player. and i've heard some teeny boppers think he has dreamy blue eyes. so does spongebob. give me a break. i don't get it. i wouldn't stalk him. would you?

btw, google image stacy beshear. even she had no chance with luke walton.
